Lance Y. Liu, Ph.D., J.D., Patent Attorney, brings the knowledge and experience of working in-house for a large corporation like Pfizer, Inc.  In the past ten years, Dr. Liu has helped his clients to obtain over $200 million in licensing fees.  His patent prosecution experience is diverse, encompassing the following technologies and subject matter: antibacterials, immunologics, small molecule pharmaceuticals, enzymes, new genes, methods of identifying new genes, and methods for DNA sequencing.  He has accrued particular knowledge relating to interference practice, and frequently authors patentability opinions for high-stakes molecules.

Dr. Liu has a Masters in Chemistry from Shandong University (Jinang, China) as well as a Doctorate in Chemistry from the Chemistry Institute of Academic Sinica (Beijing, China).  He also received his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law (Connecticut, U.S.) and is licensed before the USPTO (2000) and has been admitted to practice in New Jersey (1999) and New York (1999).
